We’re honored to welcome Guru Pangal, serial entrepreneur and enterprise leader, back to the Mayfield family as Venture Partner. Over the last fifteen years, we have been fortunate to partner as inception and early investor on two of his companies – StorSimple and CloudSimple – which created category-defining enterprise cloud products that went on to power the businesses at Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud respectively. Prior to that, Guru founded Rhapsody Networks, a frontrunner in intelligent storage, which was acquired by Brocade Communications, now part of Broadcom.
After successfully building multiple start-ups and then scaling revenues at established businesses from millions to multi-billions, Guru is eager to share what he has learned with the next generation of tech pioneers. With his trademark humility, Guru says he may not be able to see all the mines founders may step on, but wants to help them avoid at least the known ones. As we enter the Human Squared AI era, I believe that founders will benefit greatly from his leadership wisdom, playbook in assembling world-class teams, and experience in helping companies grow from the idea stage into scaling revenues.
