We have been investing in India since 2006 and have a total of $219 million under management. We are currently investing out of the $108 million Mayfield India II, our second dedicated India fund.

We are a technology focused early-stage (Seed to Series A) venture capital fund that invests in both enterprise and consumer companies. We’re guided by our ‘People First philosophy’ and our investment team operates from a shared set of beliefs and partners for the long term with entrepreneurs pursuing big ideas.

The investment team of Mayfield India has extensive first-hand experience with companies and markets in India, allowing us to track trends, assess opportunities, and share strategic resources and information.

Vikram Godse

Vikram has been an active venture investor in India over the last 17 years. He has successfully invested in — and had exits from — his early- and growth-stage investments in fintech, SaaS, education and logistics

Prior to founding Mayfield India, Vikram was a founding member of JM Financial Investment Managers Limited, a broad-based, multi-sector private equity fund. While there, Vikram helped raise the fund and led some of the key investments and served on several boards.

Prior to joining JM Financial Investment Managers Limited, Vikram worked for Cisco’s investment arm, where he led investments in India. Prior to that, he was involved in one of the earliest venture capital funds in India, Infinity Venture Fund. Vikram’s prior experience includes working at Chase and Barclays Capital as part of their investment banking practices in Mumbai for four years.

Vikram received his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Master’s in Management Studies from the University of Bombay.

Nikhil Khattau

Nikhil is an experienced investor, entrepreneur, and banker. Nikhil has been leading investments since founding Mayfield India in 2007. As an entrepreneur, he was founding CEO of SUN F&C, one of India’s first privately owned mutual fund houses. His investment banking experience was with EY’s corporate Finance Group in London and New York.

Nikhil is a Chartered Accountant from the ICAEW and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai.

Nikhil is a seasoned master scuba diver and an enthusiastic marine conservationist.
