We are excited to announce AI Fabrik as a founding investor from inception, backing Tarun Raisoni as he builds again alongside Swati Deshpande and Tanuj Mohan.
We first partnered with Tarun Raisoni at Gruve for their Series A. There, his team built and operated inference infrastructure as one of their offerings, and kept running into the same wall: enterprises with serious AI ambitions, but no infrastructure built to deliver inference at scale, close to users, with the economics and compliance that production demands. So they built it.
A year ago, training was most of AI’s infrastructure spend. Today, it’s roughly 50/50 — and the long-term call from the people running the largest fleets is that 75-80% of deployed chips will eventually run inference. The bottleneck isn’t model capability, but where and how those tokens get delivered.
Edge inference is still wide open and demands a different architecture: distributed across dense metros, always on, low latency, and built for enterprise trust. The market needed it, so they built AI Fabrik.
Tarun built Rahi Systems from zero to $500M+ in revenue before selling to Wesco. Tanuj co-founded Enlighted and sold it to Siemens. Swati spent decades building networking and security at Google and Juniper. They are not theorizing about this market. They are building from everything they learned living inside it.
Congratulations to Tarun and the entire AI Fabrik team.
