Pradeep is a renowned technologist and entrepreneur with a career spanning foundational research to category-defining companies. He is the founder of Juniper Networks, widely recognized for inventing and industrializing silicon-based routers, an invention that played a central role in bringing about the Internet age. Over nearly three decades at Juniper, Pradeep held key roles including founding CEO and Chairman, Vice Chairman and CTO, and Chief Scientist, with a hand in the inception, design, and development of virtually every product Juniper shipped from 1996 through 2015.
He also co-founded Fungible, a data center technology company built around data processing units (DPUs), which was acquired by Microsoft in 2023. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, Pradeep holds more than 200 patents.
Pradeep earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii, and his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Pradeep works closely with the Mayfield team and advises our founders on semiconductors and systems architecture, building deep-tech companies, and scaling the foundational infrastructure powering the AI era.
