$50M to Deliver Hiring Success

Today we announced the closing of $50M Series D financing with two of the world’s best software investors, Insight and Mayfield, effectively doubling down on SmartRecruiters!

That brought me right back to the moment 8 years ago when I founded SmartRecruiters on a very personal mission to Connect People to Jobs at Scale. 

What we ended up building is a modern Talent Acquisition Suite (named a leader by IDC for all company sizes) that safely replaces the legacy ATS. It allows organizations to attract and engage candidates with an amazing experience, to collaborate with hiring managers in a seamless way, and make recruiters effective by bringing all their data, processes and suppliers in one platform.

And we do it on a global scale (37 languages, 100 countries) for organizations that have hundreds of thousands of employees, must hire tens of thousands a year, and process millions of candidate interactions. No easy task!

We didn’t build this overnight. In fact, it took us 50 engineers and 4 years (200 development man-years) to get our first release out in 2015. But since then we have successfully replaced legacy ATS (Taleo, Brassring, Icims) at over 700 enterprises, including massive companies like Visa, LinkedIn, McDonald’s, Bosch, Avery Dennison, Twitter and more.

We’re proud of the results: an average reduction of 41 percent in cost per hire, a 48 percent increase in hiring velocity (% roles filled on time), and a 50 percent increase in Net Hiring Score (NHS), a quality of hire metric.
