Mayfield Fund News: December 2011
’Tis the Season of Serial Entrepreneurs

We close 2011 by welcoming three new people into the Mayfield Fund family. Each of them has founded a company (or two), is passionate about a big idea (or two) and has had a long-term relationship with Mayfield Fund.
They are:
- Sandeep Johri, executive-in-residence (EIR), who brings decades of Silicon Valley experience as entrepreneur (founder of Oblix, acquired by Oracle), executive (Hewlett Packard cloud and software strategy architect), and board member/investor (Netezza, Persistent Systems, and Dhingana) to advise our companies and play an operational role in guiding their success. This is Sandeep’s second affiliation with Mayfield Fund, following his time as EIR from 2001-2003.
- Manish Chandra, founder of portfolio company Poshmark, a real-time mobile fashion marketplace, who aims to disrupt how fashion is bought and sold through mobile devices and online. We have known Manish for over a decade, including his time as founder and CEO of Kaboodle, which was acquired by Hearst Corporation.
- Ron Gutman, founder of portfolio company Healthtap, an interactive health network, who is re-inventing doctor-patient relationships online. We have known Ron for several years including his time as founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wellsphere and curator of TEDX Silicon Valley.
Sandeep, Manish and Ron join Tim Chang, who joined us as Managing Director, and Rehan Jalil and Sunil Singh who both joined us as Venture Advisors earlier in the year. Poshmark and Healthtap round out the 11 new equity investments and 6 new seed investments that we made this year. We are excited about investing in many more rich relationships in 2012.
Happy Holidays from Mayfield Fund
